With Road Trip Planner, you can customize each pin on the map to correspond with specific information. Each pin displays various details, such as arrival and departure dates and times, travel time to the location, time spent at the location, pin names and addresses, as well as additional notes and images. The app further allows freedom in terms of customizing pin colors and icons, while providing URLs for related information, weather reports, transport type options (driving or walking), Internet search results, and a range of activities to choose from. Road Trip Planner caters to individual preferences by allowing you to choose between Apple Maps and OpenStreet Maps as your mapping platform. You also have the option to cache non-Apple maps to your device for offline use, providing you with seamless navigation even in areas with limited internet connectivity. For air and rail routes, Road Trip Planner can display a straight line between pins for better visibility.

Road Trip Planner enables you to easily add, remove, or rearrange itinerary pins in any order that suits your travel plans. • The mapping and routing functionality in Road Trip Planner is based on Apple's maps technology. Keep in mind that if Apple Maps cannot find a route between your selected map pins, neither can Road Trip Planner. To ensure that your desired area can be routed, we recommend testing it using Apple's Maps app. If Apple Maps cannot perform routing in the area you intend to travel, please submit the issue directly to Apple.
